For the Eastern Conference, Kemba Walker stole the show and was named Player of the Week. In the West, it’s a familiar face and name; Stephen Curry claimed the accolade again. In his career, this is the seventh time that Steph has earned the award and fifth this season. For Curry, setting new marks and breaking records has become regular.
Since Monday March 7, the Warriors were 4-0 as Steph averaged 30.5 points, 5.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.25 steals in those contests. Earlier in the season, forward, Draymond Green has also earned the accolade.

Reigning MVP Averaged 30.5 Points During 4-0 Week To Earn Fifth Weekly Award This Season
OAKLAND, CA – Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 7, through Sunday, March 13, the NBA announced today. The award is the fifth such honor for Curry this season (seventh career) and the second in the last three weeks.
Curry led the Warriors to a 4-0 record on the week with averages of 30.5 points, 5.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.25 steals in 33.3 minutes. He hit 61.8 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from three-point range (24-of-52) and became the first player in NBA history to hit at least 300 threes in a single season (now has 318). With all four wins coming at Oracle Arena, Golden State set the NBA record for consecutive regular-season home wins (now 48-straight), topping the mark of 44-straight previously held by the Chicago Bulls from March 1995 to April 1996. The Warriors capped the week by clinching the Pacific Division title for the second consecutive season, earning their first back-to-back division crowns in 40 years (1974-75 & 1975-76).
The reigning MVP scored at least 30 points in three of his four games, including a 41-point outing on March 7 vs. Orlando for his league-leading 12th 40-point game this season, and was one of four players to average better than 30 points per game during the week. He posted consecutive double-doubles on March 7 vs. Orlando (41 points, 13 rebounds) and March 9 vs. Utah (12 points, 10 assists), punctuating the latter effort with a 55-foot buzzer-beater to end the first half—his fourth field goal of at least 40 feet this season. With the 4-0 week, Golden State improved to 59-6 (.908) on the campaign, the best mark through 65 games in NBA history, matching the second-most regular-season wins in franchise annals.
The award marks the 42nd time a Warriors player has been named Player of the Week since the NBA began giving out the award in 1979, including the sixth time this season (Draymond Green earned the other accolade for Golden State). Charlotte’s Kemba Walker was named Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference.
