You hear it all the time, one teammate inspiring another to do something amazing on the court. Well, in the case of the Golden State Warriors and their dynamic backcourt, it looks like Klay Thompson has been inspired by his Splash Brother teammate Stephen Curry and why wouldn’t he be? They’re both exquisite shooters.

From last night after the game, courtesy of CSN Bay Area:

Klay Thompson: “Yeah, well I’m trying to get on his level. The shots he takes inspires me to take some tough shots, and practice them. When we’re both on fire, not settling for good shots but great shots, just play within the flow of the offense, man, we’re the toughest team to beat.”

There’s no denying that when the Warriors play within the flow of the offense and get the great shots that they can generate, they are in fact the toughest team in the entire NBA to beat. No one else can stand up to them when they’re getting the quality of looks that they can ultimately get.

Thompson had 37 points on 13-of-22 shooting, including 8-of-11 from beyond the arc. Curry had 34 points on 13-of-23 shooting, including 7-of-14 from deep. They were maestros, just creating beautiful music with the twine as they drained shot after shot. No one else in the league can do what they do.

A harmony has been cultivated within Oracle arena by those two. Anytime a shot goes up, you expect it to go in. Curry may have inspired Thompson, but they both have inspired an aura of invincibility within the city and the arena. It’s been a sight to behold.
