Social media is a powerful tool. The benefits include reaching out and interacting with fans as well as catching flak and hate. With the internet so accessible, anybody and everybody is on social media.
Draymond Green’s mother Mary Babers-Green is never afraid to let her opinions fly on Twitter. This time she used the power of social media to reach Dray’s teammate, Stephen Curry for a positive message. Hearing the story of a local boy facing cancer, she requested Steph’s small gesure of wishing the young man a happy birthday:

Taliq Davis received a birthday wish from Steph and a care package from the Warriors on July 22nd, his 10th birthday. Without a doubt, Steph took it to Twitter to make sure he didn’t miss the birthday:
Happy 10th Birthday to my man Taliq. Keep fighting, keep believing. We are all praying & rooting for you! #TeamTaliq pic.twitter.com/4wBy3PF9kb

The Warriors sent a care package that includes a backpack, some sunglasses, and even an autographed photo of Steph, another small gesture that could mean the world to Davis. The young boy will now have extra courage and confidence as continues to fight the rare form of brain cancer.
