Last season, Steve Kerr decided to take a step back and coach at the Summer League. That extra practice looks like it paid off as he was able to lead the Dubs to the first championship in 40 years. James Michael McAdoo and Ognjen Kuzmic may have won a ring, but they’ll be back in Las Vegas to put in some work.
With only one draft pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Warriors will need extra bodies to run in the Las Vegas Summer League. According to Rusty Simmons of the SF Chronicle, three names have been added to the SL roster:
Doron Lamb, Aqeel Quinn and Dominique Sutton are new names to me on the Warriors’ summer-league roster.

Doron Lamb played for the University of Kentucky and was drafted in the middle of the second round. He played for the Milwaukee Bucks and most recently, the Orlando Magic. Standing at 6-foot-4, he is a bit undersized to be a shooting guard. In the 2011-12 NCAA season, he led the WIldcats in free throw percentage and 76 made three-pointers.
Aqeel Quinn is a 6-foot-3 guard and came from San Diego State University. He played at Cal State Northridge before transferring to San Diego State. As a leader on that squad, he averaged 26 minues and averaged 10.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
Dominique Sutton currently plays for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the D-League affiliate. He’s been around the league trying to find a place. In past Summer Leagues, Sutton has played on the Magic and Nets in the Orlando League and once with D-League Select. At 29, time may be running out but he has a small advantage, he is already familiar with some of the Warriors players.
