The 2014-15 season is over and it ended with the Warriors being crowned NBA Champions. Now, it’s a time for the players, coaches, and everybody within the organization to celebrate. The parade will be held in Oakland on Friday so the players can finally celebrate with the best fans in the NBA, Dub Nation.

Well, that didn’t last long, it looks like the Warriors are already thinking about next season. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Warriors and David Lee will work together to trade the two-time All-Star at some point during the off-season:

Lee was the ultimate professional this past season. He lost his starting job to Draymond Green and then fell completely out of the rotation. Lee was also hurt during the year, so it was an easy decision for Steve Kerr to keep him on the bench.
However, Lee was called to produce in the NBA Finals and he came in and delivered. The Warriors wanted to go small and it completely changed the dynamics of the series. He was ready when his number was called and didn’t complain all year long.
Lee should be praised for his unselfishness, but both the Warriors and Lee know that this was bound to happen. Lee has a big contract with only one year left, which gives the Warriors an asset to work with during the Summer. Lee is a competitor and although he accepted a lesser role this season, he wants to play for a team where he can have an impact. The Warriors understand that and will do their best to find him a better home.
Godspeed, DLee. You handled your situation like a true pro.

Only good feelings toward David Lee. He handled his situation with professionalism and grace. I hope he finds a better situation, and that the Warriors can get some good future draft picks or some such.
