In an attempt to beef up their frontcourt, the Warriors are in discusiions with the Phoenix Suns to acquire disgruntled All-Star Amare Stoudemire, according to Paul Coro of the Arizone Republic. The Warriors package is centered around Andris Biedrins, however, the Phoenix Suns have thus far balked at any deal due to their desire to acquire expiring contracts and 1st round draft picks in exchange for Stoudemire.
Teams recently have inquired about every returning Suns starter, including Golden State's ongoing interest in Amaré Stoudemire (with a package involving Andris Biedrins being revisited). – Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
The Suns are also looking to move Jason Richardson and the $28 million owed to him over the next two years. Rumors of the Suns trading Steve Nash have been proven false as the Suns are working on a contract extension to keep the 2 time MVP in Phoenix.
