1st Quarter
Steph Curry started the game with a drive to the basket, which gave the Warriors a two point lead. However, the Boston Celtics were surprisingly energetic and efficient to start the game and they got off to a 9-4 lead. Avery Bradley hit six straight points and the lead kept growing. This Boston team is young, but they showed great effort. Evan Turner then chipped in with six straight points of his own. and the Celtics were up by four. The lead quickly grew to double digits after a few more buckets by the Celtics. It was a poor defensive effort and the Warriors weren’t great offensively. Curry scored the last nine points in the quarter, but the Celtics would not stop scoring, but the TD Garden was loud and rocking. Isaiah Thomas wanted to chip in at the end of the quarter, so he dropped eight straight points and the Celtics finished the quarter with a 13 point lead.

2nd Quarter
The Celtics were not content with a 13 point lead, they wanted more. They were off to a 7-2 run to start the quarter and this did not look like the Warriors team that we have seen this season. They had no rhythm, they were out of sync and they had no energy. The Celtics just kept pouring it on. It wasn’t just one guy, this was a complete team effort from the Celtics. Five straight points from the Celtics gave them a 12 point lead. The Warriors looked terrible and the Celtics looked unstoppable. Bucket after bucket kept dropping an the lead grew to 26 after back to back triples form the Celtics. The Warriors were able to cut the deficit down a bit to give them a little momentum. The Celtics took a 65-49 lead into the break.

3rd Quarter
The second half started and it looked to be a continuation of the first half. For the first three minutes of the quarter, the lead was sustained. It looked like the Celtics were going to get an easy victory. Midway through the quarter, the Warriors were able to cut the lead to single digits, but they went cold. The Celtics were able to regain their double digit, it was once again 15. With about three minutes remaining in the quarter, the second unit made some strides. A 6-2 run cut the lead to 11 and both teams traded baskets after that. With one quarter remaining, the Warriors were going to need a strong fourth quarter to get a win in Boston.

4th Quarter
The Warriors got off to a 6-0 run and all of a sudden it was a five point game, with most of the fourth quarter remaining. Steph Curry hit a three to cut the lead to three, but Thomas responded with a triple of his own, but immediately followed by a three from Green. With seven minutes left, the Warriors cut the lead to two points with a Curry jumper. They traded baskets for the next few minutes and the scoring stalled. An Iguodala bucket tied the game at 94 with about four minutes left in the game. Draymond Green gave the Warriors their first lead about a minute later. With two and a half minutes left, Curry hit a clutch shot, but Marcus Smart hit a triple to reclaim the lead. The Warriors were relentless, they didn’t play good for most of the game, but they finished strong. Four Steph Curry free throws sealed the deal and the Warriors escaped Boston with a win.
