After convincingly beating the Spurs at Oracle on Friday Night, the Warriors went to Indiana and lost to the Pacers 104-98. The Warriors played well, but twice lost big leads and Rodney Stuckey played like one of the best guards in the league. The Warriors should have won that game, even though they were without their starting point guard, Steph Curry.
The two-time All-Star didn’t suit up because of an ankle injury, or at least that is what was reported when it was announced he would miss the game. According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, Curry’s injury has nothing to do with his ankle and he’s sure of it:
Stephen Curry said his injury isn’t related to his ankle. “We’re two years removed from that.”

Curry famously had ankle issues two seasons ago and Warrior fans are always hurting his breath when he is hobbling. When they reported he was dealing with a sore ankle, a lot of fans thought the sky was falling, but Curry quickly put that to rest by admitting that his injury is not related to his ankle.
The Warriors are 43-10 and they can afford to rest their key players from time to time. It’s a long 82 game season and the Warriors need to make sure they are healthy for the postseason. This is team is built to make a deep run this season, but all of it won’t matter if one of their stars is hurt.
The Dubs now travel to Washington to take on John Wall and the Wizards. No word on whether Curry will be available for tomorrow’s game.
Foot injury…Curry One? Hmmm…
