The Miami Heat got the first dose of a flaming hot Stephen Curry this season. In 37 minutes Curry made the Heat feel his wrath by dropping in 40 points on 12-19 shooting including 8-11 from behind the three point arc. His line doesn’t end there; he also finished with seven assists, six rebounds, three steals, and a block.

The Heat’s best player noticed the sharpshooter torching Miami. According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Bosh was disappointed in his team’s defense, but complimented Curry by calling him the best shooter in the world:

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra can’t complain about his team’s defense. On top of being proclaimed the best shooter in the world, Spoelstra knew Curry’s quick release was going to be tough to defend:

The Heat kept the game close and even boasted a 16 point lead in the first half. Steph had 18 at the end of the half, and finished with 22 more points in the last 24 minutes. Before this amazing performance, Curry had scored at least 28 points in five contests.
What may be more important is Curry’s clean ball handling. He only had two turnovers, he’s been focusing on eliminating the excessive turnovers. Thanks to Curry, Klay, and the rest of the squad, the Warriors are 11-2, the greatest start in franchise history. They will continue their road trip in Orlando tomorrow, they will face the Magic at 4pm.

Curry was sick with it in the second half. You could see the whole Heat team including the bench just drop and shake their heads, demoralized by Curry’s raining 3’s. Three pointers are definitely more demoralizing than dunks. Especially if you get EIGHT dropped on you. The Heat didn’t just look like a team that lost, they looked like victims lol
