The Golden State Warriors got their sixth win of the season by beating the Brooklyn Nets 107-99. After losing two games in a row, the Dubs were able to get a victory in front of their home fans.
The Warriors looked like the team that started the season 5-0, but one particular player didn’t get to see the floor much. Festus Ezeli who is finally playing this season, never checked into the game against the Nets.

The team has been very careful with Ezeli to make sure the big man can stay healthy during this long season. However, according to Jordan Ramirez, Ezeli didn’t play last night because Speights has simply been better:

The good news is that Ezeli has not had a setback, but didn’t get to play because Speights has earned his time on the on the floor. Speights is averaging 7.3 points per game and began the season with an impressive stat line. In the first game of the season, Speights finished 16 points and 5 boards.
When healthy, Ezeli has shown some real promise and the Warriors are hopeful he will be the difference maker down the stretch. At this point of the season, they just need to get him comfortable and in a rhythm, but for now Speights is the better man for the job.
