David Lee made his return to the court against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, but it was short lived. Lee only saw the floor for seven minutes and was able to score six points, but had to leave the game because of a hamstring injury.

Lee has been battling the same hamstring injury since the last game of the pre-season and now it looks like it’s going to take some more time to fully recover. According to Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area, Lee will be reevaluated in two weeks, which means he’s likely out for that period of time:
#warriors PF David Lee (L hamstring strain) likely out at least 2 wks. Will be reevaluated at that time.

Luckily, the Warriors have not needed Lee in the first four games of the season. They are 4-0 and Draymond Green has done a fantastic job of filling in for the All-Star power forward. However, with Lee in the line-up the Warriors add a great offensive threat. Last season, Lee averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Since arriving in the Bay Area, Lee has had trouble staying on the floor. Hamstring injuries can linger and be a nuisance for the entire season. The Warriors’ best bet is to slowly bring him along and allow him to fully recover. No need to rush him back to the floor, the Warriors will manage without him.
