The Charlotte Hornets are entering the season with a new logo and mascot. Well, it’s not necessarily new, but a return to the original. With all these changes in the organization, one thing will remain the same, Kemba Walker. Today, the Hornets signed Walker to an extension today worth $48 million for another four years. The Hornets faced the same deadline as the Warriors do with Klay Thompson and that is currently dominating our Warriors World Forum.
Some fans believe he should take less money, but Thompson original contract only earned him $9.7 million. Thompson is due for a max contract, especially when you look at what Gordon Hayward and Chandler Parsons received this past off-season. There is a lot of questions to be answered about Thompson’s eventual contract, but he must remain a Warrior if the team plans to chase championships moving forward.
