The Warriors will suit up for the final time in 2014 for the NBA Las Vegas Summer League. The last two Summer League games have not been kind as the Warriors have lost in the closing seconds. The Bucks’ number two draft pick Jabari Parker hasn’t been able to lead to his team to a victory yet. Since their first game against the Cavs, the Bucks have lost each game by double digits. Look for both teams to come out with high intensity since this will be the last time the players can showcase their talents.

Players To Watch Out For:
Jabari Parker – Jabari is the son of Sonny Parker from Texas A&M. If Sonny Parker sounds familiar it’s because the Warriors drafted him in 1976. Shifting the focus back onto Jabari, before the 2014 NBA Draft many had believed Parker would go number first but as we know the Cavaliers took Andrew Wiggins instead. Parker’s best game came against the Phoenix Suns where he scored 11 points and 11 rebounds but he also committed 6 turnovers. He’s a high IQ player and will attack the basket if his perimeter game isn’t falling. Up to this point, he’s been disappointing to this point, but don’t expect him to stay in a slump for long.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – Yes, he is the same “Greek Freak” who appeared in 77 games last season for the Bucks. Don’t get him mixed up with the other Antetokounmpo. Thanasisis is in fact his little brother that drafted by the New York Knicks. Standing at 6’11’’, Antetokounmpo is a player a special player who has the ability to score, shoot, defend, and make plays for his teammates. After running the offense for the Summer League team, the Bucks have even considered about playing the 19 year old kid at the point this upcoming season. Entering this game, Antetokounmpo has averaged a consistent 17 points and nearly six rebounds per game. His athleticism cannot be emphasized enough since he’s the type of player to make a block on the defensive end and run the floor to finish with the highlight dunk.
Nate Wolters – Originally drafted 38th overall by the Wizards, he was involved in two draft day trades which lands him on the Bucks’ roster. As a rookie, he played in 58 games and even started 31 of them. He averaged a solid 7.2 points per game during the regular season and is the third leading scorer behind Parker and Antetokounmpo here in Las Vegas. Although he doesn’t impress with his speed or athleticism, he’s a great ball handler that can set up his teammates. Don’t be surprised if you see him feasting on pick and rolls. Wolters’ running floaters is an aspect of his game you can expect to see when he’s attacking bigs in the lane.
Keys to Victory
To end on a good note, the team will need to keep its offense moving fluidly, maintain its defensive intensity and cut down the turnovers. Yes these keys sound very general but it’s the reason the Warriors have been losing. Justin Holiday will need to bring his scoring game and to shoot at a high percentage. Holiday will also have to keep pressuring the ball when he guards either Parker or Antetokounmpo.
Nemanja Nedovic has to show why many called him the European Derrick Rose. His play has been quite disappointing as Craft started to bite into his minutes. There were instances last game when Coach Kerr had both Craft and Nedovic on the floor at the same time but Nedovic needs to step up. James Michael McAdoo will have to bring his hustle and make athletic plays to get the crowd hyped up and behind the team. Even though this is only the Summer League, the Warriors should be hungry enough to get the win and start a new streak for next year.
