It would appear as though Stephen Curry will not be the lone member of the Golden State Warriors on the USA Basketball 28-player pool. According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, Klay Thompson and David Lee also made the cut:
Paul George, Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard are the standouts from that group, but USAB has thrown in a few surprises by naming [DeMarcus] Cousins and Detroit’s blossoming big man Andre Drummond to the pool along with perimeter specialists Bradley Beal,Gordon Hayward, Klay Thompson and Korver, high-flying forward Kenneth Faried, versatile swingman Kawhi Leonard and the experienced David Lee.
What’s more, Andre Iguodala is also part of the group as a returning member. USAB will officially announce the 28-man list on Thursday. Mike Krzyzewski will choose 12-man rosters for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics from this pool of players.
