Yes, he is one of the few players in the league that will lay out on the floor to get the basketball or anything else to help his team. Usually, it’s bench players that play with as much hustle as Green. In reality, he is a starter. You could never tell though if you were to base it off of how hard he works on the court.
Green has established a huge chip on his shoulder. He was drafted in the second round in the NBA Draft and many scouts said he wouldn’t amount to much in the professional level. Analysts claimed he could guard little to no positions in the NBA, now he can defend all five.
He’s always in the middle of the Warriors’ heated moments against opposing teams and is one of the league leaders in technical fouls. He will stand up for anyone on the team. He’s also very durable. He’s played through injury, but hasn’t had to deal with too much in his career. He played in 79 games in his rookie season, all 82 last year, and has yet to miss one now in 2014-15.
